The Rice University School of Architecture recently welcomed Bess Williamson, a historian of design and material culture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, for a lecture focused on the history of activism and creative design practices that have impacted the experience of people with disabilities. She visited the seminar titled "Body-Plus: Architecture, Design, and Disability," taught by Professor Dawn Finely, where students learn about the power of design through disability.
