Congratulations to our student-led PLAT journal on their fifth consecutive grant award from the Graham Foundation to continue their work for the forthcoming PLAT 14 in 2025. PLAT creates a dynamic conversation surrounding selective topics emerging from the architectural discourse to stimulate exchange within global academic institutions and professional practices.

PLAT creates a dynamic conversation surrounding selective topics emerging from the architectural discourse to stimulate exchange within global academic institutions and professional practices. PLAT distinguishes itself among student journals through its design quality and dedication to innovative thinking. Each PLAT issue is designed with its own identity while maintaining a high quality of written and visual work. PLAT emphasizes a mixture of emerging voices alongside more established architecture practitioners spanning disciplinary boundaries. The theme will build from the prospective topics discussed for PLAT 13, which is currently in production, and discuss the role of architecture alongside the complex social, political, and economic realities of the world today.

PLAT is an independent architectural journal that aims to stimulate relationships between design, production, and theory. It interweaves professional and academic work into an open and evolving dialogue that progresses from issue to issue. Curating worldwide submissions in two annual issues, PLAT is a projective catalyst for architectural discourse.
