The Rice University School of Architecture is pleased to announce that Amanda Sullivan has joined the staff as the school’s director of development. She has worked in fundraising for ten years, the most recent of which was at Rice University as the director of development for the Northeast region.
Sullivan remarked about her new position, “I’m thrilled to be working with this school and its talented faculty, students, and staff, and I am impressed and inspired by the commitment and pride that surrounds the school. My goal will be to build upon the existing internal and external relationships to maintain and grow Rice Architecture’s reputation of excellence.”
“On behalf of the entire school, I am delighted to welcome Amanda Sullivan to our team,” said Igor Marjanović, William Ward Watkin Dean of Rice Architecture. “She has already established herself as a great thought partner and colleague, and I look forward to our work together in strengthening our alumni relations, fundraising for major gifts, and engaging our advisory council, the William Ward Watkin Council.”
Sullivan is particularly passionate about ensuring donors are aware of the true impact their philanthropy—including their time, advocacy, and financial support—has on the school. She is enthusiastic about building authentic relationships with alumni, friends, and parents.
In addition to her work with friends and supporters of Rice Architecture, Sullivan is also arming herself with specific and broad exposure to the architecture industry, even auditing architecture courses here in the school, to be a better advocate for the depth and reach of the curriculum at our unique school. Welcome, Amanda Sullivan!
